SYNOPSIS
Life at the 4077 revolved around the day-to-day
routines of Captain "Hawkeye" Pierce, Captain "Trapper"
McIntyre, Lietenant Colonel Henry Blake, Major Margaret
Houlihan, Major Franklin Burns and Corporal "Radar"
O'Reilly and Corporal Klinger. In their mash (mobile
army surgical hospital) unit stationed three miles
from the front line in Korea - occasional hilarity
and constant hijinks were all that kept them sane.
As the third season opens, the 4077 is again in
trouble when they're paid a visit by the certifiably
insane Major General Bartford Hamilton Steele (an
Emmy award-nominated performance by Harry Morgan)
who orders the unit is moved closer to the front
line so the wounded can be treated quicker.
